Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) has exhibited epic indifference ever since learning that he will soon become a parent in Emmerdale.
Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia (Karen Blick), who were overjoyed to be grandparents, were devastated and ashamed when Samson declined to spend much time with his daughter when Esther was born.
At one really low point, he even called social services to have Esther removed into care, protesting that having a kid in his life would wreck his life.
Noah (Jack Downham), who wasn’t always seen as particularly kind, has been a big comfort to Amelia in the meantime (Daisy Campbell),
Therefore, it is not shocking that Noah is upset in subsequent episodes to see Samson spending time with Amelia.
Samson’s presence dampens Noah’s spirits as he arrives bearing gifts for her for Valentine’s Day. Noah isn’t persuaded, and the more he thinks about it, the more suspicious he grows. Amelia sees Samson’s desire to spend more time with Esther as a positive development.
As a representative for the show disclosed, Samson has a secret goal, proving Noah’s suspicions were spot on.
We’ll soon see devious Samson’s wheels turning and Noah will find himself being blackmailed for money as he kindly advises creating a trust fund for newborn Esther. Samson’s planning, however, could jeopardise Noah’s life as a whole.
