Following the “death” of Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), the love of her life, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), has been finding it difficult to go about her daily existence in EastEnders.

While Mick is not yet officially dead, his disappearance at sea on Christmas Day has Linda and the other residents of Walford fearing the worst.

Linda was left thinking about her ex-husband and how much he enjoyed the romantic holiday as Valentine’s Day arose on the Square.

She admitted to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) that she thought she truly needed a drink to get over her loss.

Viewers will be aware that Linda is an alcoholic in recovery, and that her addiction has severely strained her relationship with Mick, her childhood sweetheart.

Due to the fact that it was Denny’s death anniversary, Sharon, who was also in mourning, offered her struggling buddy a listening ear.

Linda insisted on opening the Queen Vic for the Valentine’s party despite her hunger and insisted on serving her clients.

Linda, however, found it difficult to overlook the whisky dribble Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) left in the bottom of the glass.

Fortunately, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) was there to prevent her from making a hasty decision. As he ripped the beverage from her hands, he comforted her with his words.

After overcoming one challenge, Linda received a call from her attorney wanting to discuss Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks).

After being detained for accusing Linda of driving under the influence, Janine departed the square in December.

Linda’s face fell as she listened to the solicitor’s argument that Janine couldn’t carry out whatever plan she might have.
