In tonight’s EastEnders episode, Ryan Malloy and daughter Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) finally met after six years of separation.

After learning that his 12-year-old daughter Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) is pregnant, Ryan hurried back to the Square and sat down with Stacey Slater for an in-depth discussion (Lacey Turner).

Ryan acknowledged that he wanted to provide her with financial support, saying that given how well she had raised their kid, it was the least he could do.

According to actor Neil McDermott, “Ryan thinks something big has happened here and he attempts to be of some help.” We discover that he is financially secure and that he is doing well for himself.

He is cautiously trying to work his way into Lily’s life, but it depends on whether Lily, Stacey, and the family want him around.

It was an easy decision for Stacey to accept Ryan’s offer given the Slaters’ financial difficulties, which became worse after the Bap van was broken into as a result of Freddie Slater’s (Bobby Brazier) failure to lock it overnight.

However, pride overcame her, and she originally turned down the cash.

But as we subsequently learned during a private conversation with Ryan’s wife, this wasn’t really the reason he was back in Walford.

Ryan took a covert call in the corridor and explained his intention to bring Lily and the infant back to live with him.

He enquired as to if his wife was still game and assured her that they would be happier with him because she deserved better than to live on Albert Square.

Lily, who continues to refer to her father by his first name, which upset Ryan a little, could need some convincing, though.

Will Ryan’s plot to kidnap Lily succeed, or will he have to deal with a confrontation?
