In forthcoming EastEnders scenes, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is distraught after learning that pregnant daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) intends to spend Christmas with father Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) in Wakefield.
Ryan unexpectedly returned to Lily’s life lately after learning of her pregnancy from Whitney (Shona McGarty). He started arguments with Stacey repeatedly while on the Square, which created chaos among the Slaters.
The true reason he was there quickly became apparent when he asked Lily to move to Wakefield with him.
She thought she would like to for a while, but after seeing one of Stacey and Ryan’s fights, she quickly changed her mind.
Before he appeared to be gone permanently, she eventually threw him out.
Ryan has invited Lily and the child to spend Christmas with him, so it appears that this may not be the last time we hear from him.
Stacey confides in Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) in the intention of coming up with a solution because she is adamantly opposed to Lily moving in with her dad and is still worried that she might change her mind.
Together, they devise a brilliant scheme that they are confident will keep Lily in Walford on Christmas Day.
Lily is required to remain so that she can serve as a bridesmaid, so Kat convinces her fiancé Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to push back the wedding date until Christmas Day.
Will they be successful in keeping Lily on the Square? Will Kat and Phil’s romance even last that long?
