A number of significant developments for the residents of the eponymous street have made the ITV drama unmissable recently.

This coming week (February 20–24) won’t be any different, with Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) attempting valiantly to maintain control while paying Carla Connor (Alison King) another visit.

In the meantime, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) makes a terrible mistake that could have a serious impact on his marriage, and Max Turner (Paddy Bever) gets a visit while he is imprisoned.

David is appalled to learn that Max was assaulted, and after drowning his sorrows, Maria comes across him in Victoria Gardens and offers to help. David moves in for a drunken kiss, caught up in the moment, but Maria pulls away as he realises what he’s done.

Moments after spiking Carla once more, Stephen rests and observes as she starts to hallucinate. Peter becomes anxious and tends to Carla, but after Peter tells Stephen that Carla has seen a doctor, Stephen is the one who is concerned. Is he about to be exposed?

Alya pays Max a call in the secure training facility.

Max makes an effort to justify his actions and offers his sincere apologies, but Alya calls him pitiful.

When Daisy notices Justin standing in the street with a bouquet of flowers, she approaches him. The bartender tramples on the bouquets and then punches her stalker in retaliation.
