Coronation Street spoilers: Dangerous stalker Justin set to hurt Bertie to get at Daniel?

Could he really? (Pictures: ITV)

Justin (Andrew Still), Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) admirer in Coronation Street, recently moved in and is still adamant Daisy doesn’t want to date Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

Justin is resolved to ruin Daisy and Daniel’s relationship because he is unable to see the situation objectively. But will he turn to young Bertie in order to carry out his plan?

A wedding cake sample will soon be sent to Daisy for her approval, the catering business informs her.

Daisy is horrified when the samples are brought by Justin at No. 1, where she has gathered with Daniel, Ken (William Roache), Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews), and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) for an afternoon of cake testing.

When Daniel contacts Justin’s delivery company to report his harassment, they decline to take any action in the absence of any supporting documentation.

Daniel confides in Ken that he worries Justin might endanger Bertie during their conversation.

Will the young man be in peril, though?

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust and Coronation Street collaborated on this plot line, which emphasises some of the problems and effects of stalking.

It’s got to be talked about with men instead of telling women to “change everything about yourself so you don’t place yourself in a risky situation,” Charlotte Jordan recently told us when we brought up the subject. Males should simply perform better. It’s not just me painting all men with the same brush, but it is an issue because it keeps happening.

Even when you consider what happened to Sarah Everard, many of the early discussions revolved around the fact that she was out on her own late at night. No. It isn’t. The victim is not at blame.

It has recently been confirmed that the tale will get even scarier because Justin is planning to attack Daisy horrifyingly with acid.
