Sam Dingle (James Hooton), who was apprehended for theft and assault in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, might be spending some time in jail.
Since the expense of living crisis, both the Dingles and the Spencers have experienced difficult times, and the birth of baby Esther hasn’t helped their situation.
Daughter Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is worried about her father Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) because he struggles to make ends meet.
Although Dan has so far refused, Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), who has been assisting in Esther’s upbringing, has offered to assist using the funds from his trust fund.
Instead, he went to Esther’s other granddad, Sam Dingle, and requested him to help pay for raising their grandchild.
Sam and Lydia (Karen Blick), who are also having financial difficulties, are seen by viewers as working long hours to put food on the table.
Despite this, Sam was anxious to assist because he was worried that if Dan couldn’t pay the bills, he would be compelled to leave with Esther and Samson (Sam Hall) wouldn’t get to see his daughter.
Even though Cain (Jeff Hordley) claimed he couldn’t help, he went to him for assistance. Instead, he pointed out that Sam was a Dingle to help him come up with a solution.
He did, however, come up with something that wasn’t quite what Cain had in mind.
Sam capitalised on the opportunity by stealing a box of diapers while Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) was preoccupied in the store.
Pollard, on the other hand, has a sharp eye and managed to capture him in the act.
Sam panicked and ran away, but Eric followed him as he did so.
Sam shoved Eric off as he was clinging to him and Eric fell to the ground.
At that point, the authorities were contacted. Before they detained Sam for larceny and assault, they obtained statements from witnesses Eric and Amelia.
Later, Sam informed a disgruntled Lydia that he already had a crime record and might wind up in jail.
Will Sam be able to escape this situation in classic Dingle fashion, or will that really be the case?
