When Vicki Michelle’s portrayal of Rocky’s wife Jo Cotton shows up in Walford in EastEnders, Rocky (Brian Conley) is about to experience a big blast from the past.
Vicki has already begun shooting for her arrival on Albert Square and will appear in several episodes of the BBC One soap opera later this year. Vicki is best known for her role as Yvette Carte-Blanche in Allo! Allo!
Rocky and Jo were wed more than 25 years ago, but because of Rocky’s propensity for lying about his past, not much is known about their prior union.
How exactly will he respond when his past catches up with him is the issue. Additionally, how will Rocky’s new fiancée Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) react when she learns that he has been hiding yet another significant secret from her?
Will this ultimately lead to the breakdown of their romance? Time will only reveal.
In her Walford debut, Vicki said, “I’m so thrilled to be in EastEnders and everyone has been so lovely.”
Jo Cotton is a wonderful character, and the tale is fantastic. The moment the crowd gets to see her, the better.
Chris Clenshaw, the show’s executive producer, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Vicki to the EastEnders family as she brings the character of Jo Cotton to life.
Vicki is the ideal choice to play the mysterious role of Rocky’s wife, about whom we know very little.
Jo is like her long-lost spouse Rocky in that she is brazen, witty, and opulent. As you might anticipate, she is thrust into the middle of the drama as soon as she arrives in Walford.
BBC One broadcasts EastEnders from Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
