Emmerdale fans dumbfounded by Bernice’s ‘fingering’ comments

A week to recall, that’s for certain (Image via BBC)

The Emmerdale character Bernice Blackstock, played by Samantha Giles, has had a difficult week.

Bernice discovered herself flirting with the harpist named Tim in the midst of the anxiety that came with the B&B launching.

Bernice and Tim had spent the night together, so when she woke up, she wasn’t really concentrated on him. She needed to quickly prepare for the entrance of her guests because she had overslept.

Bob (Tony Audenshaw) arrived in the room prior to the harpist’s scheduled performance because Bernice didn’t try to awaken him.

To his dismay, Bob believed Tim had passed away.

Bernice was snoring so loudly that Tim finally woke up and admitted he had actually taken a sleeping pill.

Phew.

Despite the scare, Bernice continued to think back on her great time with Tim and quipped that he had “wonderful fingering” on Thursday’s episode of the ITV drama.

Even though this was obviously in reference to Tim’s musical talent, many Emmerdale fans were able to catch up on the clever innuendo.

One admirer chuckled, “Lots of double-entendres in Emmerdale tonight from Bernice.” ‘Tim the harp players lovely fingering, his fantastic instrument. I can find my twisted chuckles anywhere!

Actor Tony Audenshaw recently reflected on the new dynamic between Bob and Bernice and said, “I believe he sees Bernice as a good businesswoman and she’s got a lot of good ideas and she’s got half the money, which I think is vital as well.”

She is enthusiastic about it, which is lovely, and he is as well. It’s positive that they are both enthusiastic about it. I believe he’s up for it, but he has his reservations about her because she bosses him around and wants one thing while he wants another.
