When Callum Highway (Tony Clay) gets a significant promotion at work next week, he is over the moon in EastEnders, but things are about to take an interesting change.
When Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) offers him the position of Trainee Detective Constable, which he quickly accepts, the policeman is taken aback and leaves to celebrate with his spouse Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).
However, Callum quickly becomes agitated when his first day on the job proves challenging and his new coworkers come up with a nickname for him.
Jack puts his foot down, resolved to put an end to this kind of unacceptable behaviour, after learning about what has been happening in the team.
The detective then assigns Callum his first job, having him follow Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), the subject of his investigation, through CCTV while being unaware that the criminal has been after his wife Denise Fox (Diane Parish).
Will Callum dig out anything intriguing in the CCTV footage? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Ben is available to provide Callum with guidance later in the week because his first week on the job was challenging.
The aspiring detective is as grateful as ever for his husband’s comments, leading him to make a significant choice.
But what is it exactly?
