Since Kyle’s (Huey Quinn) hearing result, life in Emmerdale has not yet been able to return to routine, but will it ever? Nicola will ensure that it doesn’t.
Natalie Ann Jamieson’s character, Amy, has been so preoccupied with her strategies for obtaining custody of Kyle after the hearing that when she proposed to Ash Palmisciano, he instantly assumed she was up to something.
It’s excellent news for the farmer’s son that Amy wasn’t just proposing to support her custody claim; she actually meant that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Winner. Matty is overjoyed, and they can now start making plans for the future.
But is all the enthusiasm completely unnecessary? Despite Amy’s desires, Cain (Jeff Hordley) is prepared to use violent means to win back his son, and Caleb (Will Ash) is brought in to help resolve the situation. They look away from Kyle because the parents are still at odds.
Given his recent experiences, Kyle is understandably fairly screwed up. When confronted with a situation he can’t handle, things between Kyle and Carl, Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler) son, become violent. Fortunately, there aren’t any shotguns nearby, but it’s still terrible.
This is not good news for the young man because Nicola is horrified and wants to contact the police right away. Kyle is frightened that he will be taken away once more as a result of her threat.
Amy and Cain immediately start blaming one another, but once again they are putting their own needs before those of the young boy who is fearful of going to prison once more. Kyle, are you returning inside?
