In EastEnders, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has gotten in touch with the unidentified possible new owner of the Vic once again.

Another covert phone call was made by the landlady, who was observed asking the caller whether they had the necessary funds for the Queen Vic yet.

She advised the caller to take immediate action since time was running out.

When Mick Carter went missing at sea on Christmas Day, Linda was surprised to find that Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) planned to sell his ownership stake in the venerable bar.

She has been scrambling since since to find a buyer so she can keep working the bar.

The business magnate Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdry) and Linda’s closest friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) both made proposals, but Linda chose to go with someone else totally and made a covert phone call in February.

She told whoever was on the line about the two offers she previously received, but made it obvious that she would reject them both if the caller had the money.

Despite Sharon’s continued belief that Linda intends to accept her offer, it is obvious that Linda has placed all of her trust in someone else after implying that the bar won’t seem as empty if she and Albie are living there as well.

Whilst it seems that they are already close with Linda, the identity of the mystery caller is still unclear.

Might the mystery buyer wind up being a part of the murder mystery because the pub is expected to be the scene of a Christmas day murder this year, as hinted at in a flashforward episode last month?

The episode featured six of Walford’s feisty ladies gathered around a dead man’s corpse. It was well appreciated by viewers.

Because his identity has not yet been made public, speculation about who he could be has already begun.

Might the corpse belong to the new buyer if Linda was one of The Six?
