The latest episodes of Emmerdale have seen Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) progressively realise that the baby Chloe (Jessie Elland) is expecting, of whom he is the father, is more significant to him than he first imagined.
Mack’s main priority has been to safeguard his relationship with Charity (Emma Atkins) since since Chloe initially revealed to him that she was expecting after their one-night fling.
Yet as Chloe’s pregnancy grows further along and the possibility of having his kid in the world becomes more apparent, Mackenzie has started to change his mind.
The situation became clearer when Chloe said the baby is a boy and asked Mackenzie if he wanted to feel the baby kick. Mack realised he cared more about the kid than he had anticipated.
Mack struggled with this realisation during their trip to the Dales on March 28 and went to speak with Chloe about it. He expressed to her his desire for them to be friends.
He assured her, “I genuinely do care about this pregnancy.” It’s also my baby, she said.
He had previously made it quite apparent that she was merely a bother who may stand in the way of his happily-ever-after with Charity, so Chloe informed him that it was much too late for this type of change of heart.
She informed Mack she was tired of hearing about his sentiments and that she didn’t need his aid as he persisted in trying to persuade her that they were real.
She said, “If I want assistance, I’ve got Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson),” pointing out that Charity would find it extremely difficult to stay in the dark if he hung around too much.
She sternly admonished him, “You need to quit talking about “your” kid.” Just go, we made a contract and we’re adhering to it.
Mack had no choice but to go and vent to Nate (Jurell Carter), who must be becoming weary of hearing about Mack’s emotions just as Chloe is.
Mack’s “feelings” are going to be all over the place with the imminent wedding of Mack and Charity as well as the anticipated birth of the child. Will he be able to conceal his pregnancy? Or will everything come out in an explosive way?
