After having a heart-to-heart with Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw), James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) made the decision to embrace the day in Hollyoaks and choose to be married to Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) sooner rather than later.
As fans are aware, the attorney proposed to Ste during a heartwarming Valentine’s Day proposal by dropping down on one knee in front of a packed bar.
Since then, the soon-to-be grooms have been organising their wedding, which was scheduled for next February, amid lots of disagreement on the guests’ attendance and attire.
A day of suit fittings for the two grooms was the first event that Juliet, who is fighting cancer, organised as the wedding planner on Wednesday’s (March 29) first look episode of the Channel 4 soap opera.
Nevertheless, after putting on her bridesmaid dress, Jules made the decision she wouldn’t be going to the wedding because she was concerned that people would be more interested in her sickness than the joyous event. Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) was determined to convince Jules otherwise.
In the meanwhile, James voiced his opinion and insisted that Juliet go, reminding her that he would need her support on his special day. As a result, she decided against going.

After giving it some more thinking, James questioned Ste about why they were waiting until the next year to be married and suggested that they disregard prudence and have the wedding now, but without all the frills.
Ste, who was overjoyed, said that he likes James when he is impetuous like this and gave him many kisses while giving him the go-ahead to do that.
