‘
She immediately says, “You’re lying, he wouldn’t do that,” but I don’t think Summer buys it since she is aware of her best friend and is aware that she would never lie about anything.
She wants to stand up for him, but I feel that she is aware of the truth. As Amy replies, “Look, believe me or don’t believe me—your it’s option,” Summer immediately turns and apologises. She wants it to be a falsehood more so since the reality is so terrible.

While Amy has Summer on her side, she still needs to talk to DS Swain.
After reading Amy’s communications, the investigator confronts her with some unpleasant inquiries.
Amy worries that her case will soon be dismissed since she feels she is being held responsible.
