Former Emmerdale actor Dexter Ansell just received a significant new Hollywood job.
Before Noah Ryan Aspinall took over the character of Lucas Taylor in the ITV serial opera two years ago, the actor, who is just eight years old, filled the part.
Dexter just disclosed that he has been chosen to play a young Coriolanus Snow in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the prequel to The Hunger Games.
Dexter posted a photo on Instagram with Donald Sutherland’s portrayal of President Snow from the original movies.

I’m excited to announce that I will be portraying Young President Snow in the highly anticipated prequel to The Hunger Games, “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” Nov. 17th in theatres Globally,” he said.
Thank you so much to my amazing agent @mark jermin mgt for this incredible chance.
Set 64 years before the first Hunger Games movie, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes follows 18-year-old Snow as he tries to smuggle himself into the Capitol to begin the life he will later lead.
When Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) first appear, their names are picked for the 74th annual Hunger Games, which indicates that Snow is a mentor for the 10th in this new movie.
He takes care of District 12 resident Lucy Gray Baird, who draws attention when she sings during the reaping ritual.
