The Emmerdale actor Michael Wildman has hinted that he would stage a comeback for the programme, in which case Al Chapman would rise from the dead.

After three years, the actor who played Al departed the ITV soap opera, and his erratic character was killed off.

Al had been having an illicit relationship with Chas Dingle, who was having an affair with Al’s supportive and loving husband Paddy Kirk, before to his death.

When Al’s deadliest nemesis Cain Dingle learned of his sister’s treacherous treachery, he devised a plan for retaliation and met with Al in a barn while brandishing a rifle.

Al was killed as a result of Kyle Winchester accidently pulling the trigger of the revolver after he had stumbled across the situation in the barn.

Michael Wildman remarked, “I can’t go to the evil side,” when asked whether he would join another soap.

“I must speak for Emmerdale.”

. “There’s always a possibility I may come back like Bobby Ewing in the shower you know,” he said.

“That’s what I’m hoping for,” she said.

Michael said that he originally intended to remain on the programme for just six months, but stayed for three and a half years instead.

He told BBC Radio Oxford, “Three and a half years because [Al] just kept getting into problems essentially!”

Al created a lot of havoc during his stay in the community by dismantling Marlon’s marriage to Jessie, insulting Paddy, fighting with Cain, having an affair with Priya with Debbie, and attempting to scam the Dingles out of the Woolpack.

Nevertheless Chas continued to have a relationship with him!

But with Michael’s remarks still fresh in our minds, do you think Al will return to create further trouble?

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and ITVX on weeknights at 7:30 p.m.
