EastEnders icons.Ian and Cindy Beale reunited and it’s like they’ve never been apart

After 25 years after their final appearance in Walford together, former EastEnders actress Michelle Collins shocked fans by reuniting with her on-screen husband Adam Woodyatt in a recent Instagram picture.

Although Adam was on tour with the musical My Fair Lady, Michelle and Adam, who portrayed the tragic pair Cindy and Ian Beale in the BBC serial opera, recently reconnected in Manchester.

In a picture of the two of them cuddling up together, Michelle uploaded it on Instagram with the remark, “Nice to meet up with my ex-husband,” and she included Adam in the post.

Fans were ecstatic to see the couple together for the first time, and many expressed their delight in the comments section.

One admirer said, “So nostalgic to see Ian and Cindy together again hehe.”

Another said, “Ian and Cindy are back together,” while a third added, “You two were the finest.” Eastenders hasn’t been viewed since!

In the 1990s, when Cindy hired a hitman to kill Ian because of an affair, Cindy and Ian’s marriage broke down.

Fortunately, Ian lived, but Cindy’s luck wasn’t so good; after being detained for her part in the shooting, she lost the custody dispute for their kids.

She was subsequently imprisoned, where she gave birth and passed away, while Ian had four more unhappy marriages.

The two were reunited in 2014 as part of the Children in Need comedy “The Ghosts of Ian Beale,” in which Ian encountered various deceased EastEnders cast members.

Adam has performed in a number of theatre productions since leaving the programme, including My Fair Lady, for which Michelle praised him as being “simply fantastic.”

In 2011, Michelle moved from Albert Square to Coronation Street, where she stayed until 2014 as Rovers landlady Stella Price.

She also included a selfie of herself with former Coronation Street executive Phil Collinson in the Instagram post.

In 2010, Phil took over as producer, and it was he that brought Stella to the Street.
