Molly Rainford of Strictly Come Dancing offers a sneak peek at the significant new family that will be introduced on EastEnders.

The Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford, who will be appearing on EastEnders as a member of the newest family to move into the Queen Vic, has released photos from the makeup chair in advance of her on-screen debut.

Producer of the programme Chris Clenshaw has characterised Molly’s character, Anna Knight, as “fun, loveable, and big-hearted.”

The role will debut on TV in early summer, and the actress posted photographs of herself getting ready for it on Instagram.

Before expressing her enthusiasm for her debut episode, Molly captioned the photo, “Anna’s in full swing, she’s also a red lip girl.”

The former CBBC actress expressed her excitement about her new job by saying, “I’m VERY delighted to be joining the cast of EastEnders.”

It’s an honour to bring Anna Knight, a character who is sure to stir up drama upon her arrival, to life since my family and I adore this legendary programme so much.

I’ve already run across a few people I recognised from Strictly, and I can’t wait to get to know everyone and become a member of the EastEnders family.

Supporters expressed their anticipation for Ann’s appearance in the square in the post’s comments. One fan wrote: “Can’t wait for you to come to Walford!”

Another person said, “Can’t wait to see you back on TV where you belong, you are such a gorgeous young girl.”

“Very happy for you!” Added a third.

Colin Salmon, who played the watchful father George in the James Bond film Skyfall, and West End diva Harriet Thorpe, who will play Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) mother Elaine, will also be a part of the Knight family.

Gina, Anna’s feisty elder sister, will be portrayed by Francesca Henry.

Chris Clenshaw said, “The presence of the Knights heralds a fresh dawn to Albert Square.”

“George, Gina, and Anna have been linked for years, and the Knights are hoping for a new start by moving to Walford.”

We’re excited to welcome these really talented bunch of performers, Colin Salmon, Harriet Thorpe, Francesca Henry, and Molly Rainford. We can’t wait for everyone to meet them.
