In the episode of Emmerdale airing on Friday, April 14, Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) discovered a lump in her breast and went to the hospital.
Since giving birth to Esther in October of last year, the young mother has encountered one difficulty after another.
Amelia often finds herself entangled in romantic conflict with Noah (Jack Downham) when Samson (Sam Hall) isn’t making problems. When you combine this with caring for a kid and going to college, it’s fair to say she’s got a lot on her plate right now.
Amelia saw the doctor this week after discovering the lump, and Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) advised her that she needed to get a scan at the hospital.
A nurse advised Amelia that a biopsy was necessary, but all she could think about was the worst-case scenario, sure that by delaying the findings for a week, it may affect her chances of surviving if she is informed that she did have cancer.
Amelia returned home to visit Esther and Noah after feeling overwhelmed.
Amelia broke down in tears as she informed Noah about the scan and the next weeklong wait, which would undoubtedly seem like an eternity. Noah could tell that something was wrong.
Noah was informed by Amelia that the lump may be a plugged milk duct, which is typical when nursing.
She was nevertheless gripped with terror in spite of this. Amelia broke down in tears, scared that when she receives those findings next week, her whole life would change. All Noah could do was promise her that she wouldn’t die.
