With departure strategies in action and secrets ready to come to light, Emmerdale is preparing for another dramatic and emotional week for the villagers, making it one not to be missed.
After returning from their honeymoon with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawerence Robb) is keen to show Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) that he is there for baby Reuben.
While Faye (Jane Gurnett) and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) get ready to embark on their thrilling new adventure, trouble is soon brewing as Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) makes a startling discovery.
Want a preview of the next drama badly?
We have three brand-new preview films of the events in the village from next week (May 1–5) to keep you entertained until then since we thought you may be.
Thank you very much.
Mary informs April Windsor and Leo Goskirk about her upcoming departure after deciding to go to Ecuador with Faye. Leo admits he’s going to miss her, and April exhorts Mary to seize her opportunity for happiness. Rhona, on the other hand, finds it difficult to process the information as she quickly leaves, leaving Mary unclear of what to do.
Rhona expresses to Mary her reservations about her choice to uproot her whole life for a lady she scarcely knows, saying that she wants she could but is powerless to do so.
Rhona begs her mother to remain in heartbreaking moments. And will Mary concur? Or does she already know what she wants?
Suzy expressed her concerns to Mary over Faye, who was evasive regarding a financial transfer. Suzy’s persistent probing offends Mary, who responds with some really cruel remarks, but this doesn’t stop Suzy, who is truly worried about her friend, from pressing Mary to conduct more research.
However, Mary tells her to leave. Will Mary follow Suzy’s advice and dig a little deeper?
At the Hide, Tom and Belle catch up once more, with Belle urging Tom to get in touch with Jimmy and Nicola. The returnee, however, declines as he muses on his father Carl’s murder and makes it apparent that, given all the awful things he did to the people he loved, he is glad to be dead.
But shortly after, Jimmy and Nicola arrive at the Hide and are astounded to see their nephew living in the community. Uncomfortable as the reunion may be, what will really transpire next?
Mackenzie visits the location to see Chloe’s reaction to Reuben. His unplanned visit is not well received by Chloe, who refers to him just as a “sperm donor,” which obviously irks Mack, who is desperate to show that he is there to support her.
Eventually, Chloe lets on that she’s lonely and is having a harder time than she’s letting on, and when Mack hugs her, Sarah is frightened to see the two of them together.
Victoria is startled to learn that Chloe has not told Amy, who is away on a course, about her plans to go to Scotland.
Chloe affirms that it’s best, but she chooses not to elaborate on why. However, the new mother’s focus quickly shifts when she notices something isn’t quite right with Reuben.
These scenes will be shown throughout the week of May 1 through May 5 at 7:30 p.m. on ITV1 and ITVX as part of Emmerdale.
