Emmerdale’s episode from last night featured Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), who finally gave her mother Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) the go-ahead to go her dream vacation to Ecuador.
Mary and Faye have only just been romantically involved, but Faye (Jane Gurnett) has already extended an invitation for them to begin a new life together, halfway across the globe.
The popular member of the community came out as gay last year and just met Faye via a dating app.
She fell in love with her right away and, despite being hesitant at first, decided to relocate to Ecuador when Faye said she had to go back because there had allegedly been a fire at the women’s centre.
Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) questions the trip in tonight’s episode after seeing Faye being evasive about a bank transfer for the auction money.
She confides in Mary about her concerns, but Mary won’t let a negative word be uttered about Faye and gives her a sizable contribution to strengthen her devotion to her beloved.
Suzy’s concerns will prove to be accurate, however, as scenes to broadcast later this week will make it clear that Faye is a scam artist.
Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke), an acquaintance, and Marshall Hamston (Max Fletcher), a classmate, decide to go on a date elsewhere in the community.
Since he was expelled from the home for coming out as homosexual just before his mother’s death anniversary, Marshall has had to cope with his father’s intolerance.

Marshall was hospitalised in scenes that were shown last week as a result of a drinking spree with Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling).
But his new relationship will cheer him up and aid in his recovery.
Other scenes that will show tonight see Cathy assuring Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) that by letting her leave, he is still being the best father he can be.
Recently, Cathy has been dealing with period cramps and mood fluctuations, which have caused her to act recklessly.
Both Cathy’s GP Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and the nurse Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) think she has premenstrual dysphoric disorder, but when she is unable to get a formal diagnosis, Cathy approaches her breaking point.
Cathy loses control after her binge drinking session with Marshall and accidently scratches her father with her keys, causing blood.
Cathy eventually makes the decision to leave the community, and everyone bids her a heartfelt farewell.
Monday at 7:30 p.m., ITV One will air Emmerdale.
