Ali Bastian, a former Hollyoaks actress, has spoken candidly about losing her friend a week after giving birth.
When her second child, Isabella, was born twelve weeks ago, the actress who portrayed Becca Dean in the Channel 4 serial turned to Instagram to recount her arduous journey.
She discussed how difficult it had been for her to combine her sadness with the hormones that come with being a new mother in the post, which included images of her and her “oldest and closest” friend.
‘This Saturday, my infant will be 12 weeks old. The completion of the fourth trimester marks the end of one of the most difficult times in my life. She was open with her followers.
‘I lost one of my oldest and closest friends a week after she was born. Walking the hormonal tightrope of my postpartum time while trying to grieve this massive loss has been and continues to be quite hard.

She continued to describe how she has dealt with the loss, admitting that taking lengthy showers gave her the ability to mourn and grieve before resuming her position as a mother of two.
She also discussed going to a therapist, who she described as “incredible” and who had assisted her for “many years.”
She shared her best memories of her pal in the lengthy, sentimental post, admitting that she had “so many” of the two of them together.
One supporter who went to the comments to comfort the actress wrote: “I’m so so sorry for your loss.” Love leaves a memory that no one can take; death leaves a pain that no one can repair.
It’s quite difficult, but we are resilient beings. Another person chimed in, “Sending you big love.”

Ali also discussed her difficulties picking up her newborn after her c-section’stopped healing’ in the blog article.
In the years after Ali departed Hollyoaks in 2007, he appeared in a number of other shows, such as The Bill, Death in Paradise, and Holby City.
Isla and Isabella are her two daughters with her actor husband David O’Mahoney.
