In tonight’s EastEnders episode, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) is at the centre of everything as coronation fever sweeps through Walford.

The terrible news that his granddaughter Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) has just six months to live has caused Billy a lot of anguish lately.

Following some concerning symptoms, Lola underwent an MRI, which revealed that her chemotherapy had stopped working and that she only had a finite amount of time left.

In order to spend quality time with Lola’s daughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) and her husband Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), Billy has been motivated to relieve Jay of the burden. However, in the process, he has found it difficult to manage his own emotions.

In contrast, he sets out in later scenes to persuade Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) to organise The Vic party and suggests a “Royal Walkabout” for the children of Walford.

The Bakers embrace the concept, particularly when Finlay Baker (Ashley Byam) successfully starts Avery Baker’s (Omar Lye-Fook) sports vehicle. He is nonetheless startled when the automobile sputters.

Billy, meantime, touches Linda’s heart by thoughtfully inviting Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) to the coronation festivities after his unexpected passing.

In recent moments, Linda has seemed more depressed than ever as she awaited Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) jail sentence.

In recent scenes, she discovered the length of the Walford bad girl’s sentence, and the information shocked her.

Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) sensed that something must be really wrong when Linda, also known as Albert Square’s greatest Royal Family fan, said that she didn’t care about the Coronation.

Will the thought of these festivities cause her to reconsider?

Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), who earlier advised Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) that the two of them need to get to know each other better, informs Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) as to why Sonia is upset with him.

Reiss overdoes it to celebrate her birthday after the conversation, but will it be enough to repair their relationship?
