In Thursday’s (May 4) episode of Emmerdale, Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) planned relocation to Scotland was postponed because her infant son Reuben was admitted to the hospital.
On Charity’s (Emma Atkins) and Mack’s (Lawrence Robb) wedding day, the character gave birth to her child. Yesterday, on May 3, she informed Mackenzie that she would be returning to Scotland because Reuben deserved a better life.
Vic (Isabel Hodgins), feeling it would be best to have Liam (Jonny McPherson) watch over her sick kid, felt it would be best to go away, forcing Chloe to cancel her travel.
When the doctor came, he informed Chloe that they should go to A&E right away.
The news of Chloe’s baby having meningitis caused Chloe’s world to implode, and when the town learned of it, Mack eventually learned of it as well.
He sneaked inside the hospital out of fear for Reuben and encountered a nurse who asked him whether he was the baby’s father.
In order to prevent the nurse from seeing the infant, Mackenzie lied and claimed to be only a family acquaintance.
We know Mackenzie will end up being there to support Chloe as she remained at Reuben’s bedside all by herself, and that will eventually result in Charity learning the truth…
