Emmerdale spoiler: Mack is terrified by Reuben’s terrible illness.

This week in Emmerdale, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) received the devastating news that his infant son Reuben was hospitalised with meningitis.

Chloe (Jessie Elland), Reuben’s mother, had originally planned on relocating to Scotland following the birth of her son since she was having trouble juggling the demands of being a new mother while also keeping Mackenzie’s identity a secret from Charity (Emma Atkins).

Chloe was forced to postpone her travel because Reuben needed to be brought to A&E after Liam (Jonny McPherson) checked a sick Reuben over.

After hearing the news, Mack (along with the rest of the community) went to the hospital to attempt to see his kid. However, he lied to the nurse and claimed to be a family friend rather than the boy’s father, thus he was denied permission to go see his son.

Mackenzie isn’t feeling like working on the farm in this new video.

Nate (Jurell Carter), who is fully aware of Mack’s secret, attempts to convince his friend to meet Reuben since he has such importance for him.

Mackenzie is stuck between a rock and a hard place because he knows that the closer he gets to learning about Reuben’s condition, the more likely it is that Charity will learn the truth, which is set to happen very soon.

The characters will take part in a soap opera scenario that “has never been done before” in the aftermath.

Emma Atkins said, “There’s a magical moment in the village where we bump into each other and Mackenzie doesn’t know that Charity knows.” I really enjoyed shooting it,

Mack is unsure about what to do next (ITV image).

That was a fantastic scenario, Lawrence Robb said. The scenario that follows is one that we all worked on together, and it was enjoyable for all of us to shoot.
