In Emmerdale, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) had been aching to see Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
Paddy got intoxicated with Mandy and they had a relationship before Paddy tried to take his life.
This later developed to a plot in which Paddy battled emotions of loneliness, melancholy, and suicide thoughts.
Paddy is continuing to recuperate after Marlon (Mark Charnock) rescued him.
He has made good adjustments to his surroundings, including separating from Chas (Lucy Pargeter), taking medicine, going to therapy, and moving in with Liam (Jonny McPherson) and Bear (Joshua Richards).
Mandy is one individual who has supported Paddy during this process. We know that Mandy has been holding out hope that they’d ultimately get back together, whilst Paddy has been seeing her generosity from a friend’s standpoint.

After spending some time together the previous night, Paddy and Mandy are seen in this new video conversing on a bench.
Sadly, it becomes clear that Mandy has come to the regretful conclusion that Paddy’s mental health comes before getting back together with him.

Paddy is soothed when Mandy states that she comprehends why he reached a crisis point, considering all he has been through, showing how close they are even after all these years.
Paddy smiles briefly as Mandy leaves, and it is a bittersweet moment for both of them.
