James Bye and Lacey Turner’s characters Martin Fowler and Stacey Slater have a long history on EastEnders, but might they be about to reignite their once-flaming passion?
Future episodes will include Martin contacting Stacey to give assistance when the bailiffs knock on her door.
Stacey pushes Martin away once again, insisting with arrogance that she can handle the situation by herself.
Actor James Bye said, “It’s in Stacey’s nature not to tell anyone when she’s in trouble.”
Nevertheless, he is aware of the issues and has stated his intention to assist where he can.
They are obliged to try and find out the truth from her after learning that their 12-year-old daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) has been bullying a girl at school, despite her attempts to keep him at a distance.
Stacey is clearly having a hard time, so Martin takes her out for a picnic where they have a heart-to-heart. However, Stacey decides to keep certain things to herself, which James feels would hurt Martin “to a certain extent” if he found out.

I believe it would disturb him to some level, but not as much as it would have done when they were still married a few years ago.
They’ve reached a stage in their relationship when Martin appreciates that he and Stacey may both do as they want. I believe he now accepts her for who she is and is lot less critical of her choices.
Stacey made several poor choices while they were together, which led to their breakup. Martin probably appreciates not having to deal with it as much.
Martin, though, will always be there for Stacey since they have children together, no matter what. She and his family will always have his support.
Could this be a hint that they could reignite their relationship?
The possibility of a future reunion is mentioned by James, who acknowledges that he prefers to leave this decision to the authors.
We discuss these topics often with our executive producer, Chris Clenshaw, and the narrative team.
“Where they are at the moment is a really enjoyable location for Lacey and me.” Given their extensive past, they are unquestionably closer today than they were throughout their love engagement.
The fans seem to want Martin and Stacey to get back together, and although I’m not saying they won’t, I really appreciate the idea that we are unsure of whether it will happen.
Their connection is unique in that it is subject to change with the toss of a coin.
