The enormous secret that Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) has been keeping from Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) has finally come to light, as fans of EastEnders have known for a time.
Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), who overheard Reiss on the phone speaking to a woman named Debbie, had been debating whether or not to notify Sonia.
He disclosed to fiancée Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) that Reiss had nicknamed the enigmatic Debbie “darling,” which had given him reason for anxiety.
Rocky was advised by Kathy not to spoil Sonia’s birthday since she was certain there was a plausible explanation.
Rocky, however, found it hard to keep his mouth shut when he learned that Reiss had vanished.
Rocky was ready to disclose all he knew when Reiss arrived at the Queen Vic, where Sonia was worried about his whereabouts.
Rocky subsequently visited him even though Sonia and Kathy were satisfied with the excuse for his departure.
Reiss anxiously said that it was none of his business and that Rocky should keep his nose out when Rocky challenged him about what he had heard.
Unluckily for Reiss, Sonia overheard their talk and started pressing for information for herself.
Though she had no way of knowing what he would say next, she made him a promise that whatever it was he was concealing, she wouldn’t be furious.
Sonia was stunned when he revealed that he was married to Debbie, a great lady.
Residents of Albert Square gathered in the Square to pay respects to the King, but they were treated to an entirely unexpected spectacle when Sonia hurled him out in a fit of rage.
He was left astonished in the middle of the street as she threw his possessions and birthday present after him, calling him a lying cheat.
She slammed the door, leaving him outside in the cold, despite his pleas that she should listen to him out since she hadn’t yet heard the most crucial part.
Is Sonia and Reiss’ relationship over for good, or can he get her back?
