The following week on Emmerdale, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) will have quite the shock when an unpleasant client grabs her table in the café and refuses to leave when requested to do so.
A newcomer to the community named Claudette (Flo Wilson) enters the café and doesn’t waste any time making her presence known by demanding a fresh pot of tea and saying she won’t pay for any “lukewarm rubbish.”
Even Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) is surprised by the woman’s candour as she proceeds to satisfy the customer’s desire, and Claudette takes a seat at a table nearby after demonstrating her mettle.
Manpreet learns this lesson the hard way when she asks Claudette politely to leave her table after she’s occupied it after returning from the lavatory.
However, Claudette is not in the mood to be cordial as she chastises Manpreet for causing a mess at that table. Manpreet is shocked with her harshness as she says, “It’s like a herd of toddlers had a tea party!”

Manpreet makes it plain that she wants her table back despite the discomfort, but Claudette refuses to move and instead stares at her, leading the GP to resort to Brenda for help.
Claudette asks, “What are you getting her involved for?” How is she going to react? Tip me off my chair, please? I want to watch her give it a go!
Manpreet, horrified by the change of events, grabs her food and walks out of the café, and Claudette smiles, knowing that she would fit in well in the titular hamlet after establishing herself as a genuine force to be reckoned with.
But she and Manpreet are in for a surprise since later scenes are going to show that Claudette is really the mother of Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin)!

A spokesman for Emmerdale remarked, “She is deeply proud of her son Charles’ position as a vicar and her grandson Ethan’s legal career,” when the news of Flo’s casting was made public.
The other villagers will quickly learn not to annoy Claudette, even if she thinks of herself as a kind matriarch; in reality, Charles feels her to be somewhat domineering.
Manpreet seemed to have understood the lesson already!
These scenes will appear in Emmerdale on Thursday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. on ITV1 and ITVX.
