This week on EastEnders, Lily (Lillia Turner) revealed her mother Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) covert use of an internet cam.
Stacey struggled to pay her bills, so she started selling self-portraits online to put food on the table.
All of this backfired, however, when Lily’s school began seeing Stacey’s photos, humiliating the pregnant girl.
When Lily disclosed what Stacey had been doing to get some extra money, the Slater family was extremely taken aback, with Jean (Gillian Wright) taking it especially harshly.
The next day, Stacey was shocked to see that Jean was still treating her like a doormat; she said that she had anticipated Lily to yell at her but had assumed her mother would be more forgiving.
After having a heart-to-heart with Freddie (Bobby Brazier), Jean decided that something needed to be done to reunite the family. To that end, she offered Lily an afternoon off from school in exchange for her quick return home from Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) place.
After having a complete change of heart towards Stacey’s predicament, Jean invited Lily into the living room where the three of them sat down and made an effort to patch things up.
When Lily continued to label Stacey ‘disgusting’ for what she was doing, Jean defended her by pointing out that Stacey hadn’t looked down on her when she became pregnant and that Stacey wouldn’t be doing it if there was any other option.

Although Stacey acknowledged that she didn’t like doing it, she had to do anything she could to put food on the table.
Stacey believed it was best to be truthful when Lily inquired how it was, despite Jean’s reservations.
Stacey said that she was first afraid and queasy the first few nights but quickly became used to it.
She reminded her family that at least she was doing it securely in her own house and that “women have been selling their bodies since the world began.”
Lily said she would sacrifice everything for her unborn kid as Stacey disclosed that all she had done had been done to support her children, and Stacey agreed that Lily would be a “lovely mother.”
Lily concurred, stating that if she’s anything like Stacey, she most certainly will be.
As their relationship was patched up, Stacey consented to have her Secret Cams account deleted.
How long will Stacey be able to survive without this source of money before her debts start to mount?
