In the May 24 episode of Emmerdale, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) broke up with Tom King (James Chase) because he wasn’t sympathetic towards a secret from her past.
She said that she had murdered Gemma, a friend, in 2014.
After pushing her buddy to the ground and causing her to fall and hit her head on a rock, Belle’s friend passed away accidentally.
It eventually served as the starting point for Belle’s mental health issues and resulted in her spending time in a young offender’s unit.
Belle made the decision to be a bit more vulnerable with Tom tonight since their connection has been developing since his return.
Tom reacted horribly when Belle told him that she went to jail after killing Gemma, bolting to the bar and said it was too much for him to process.
In response to Tom’s imminent return to Leeds, Lydia (Karen Blick) discovered Belle at home.
Belle updated Lydia while sobbing, telling her how much she missed her mother, who was always the finest source of guidance.
In an effort to assist, Lydia advised Belle that if Tom doesn’t recognise her sickness, she would be better off without him.

Belle found Tom on the patio of the bar and challenged him.
Tom said that he was remaining in the area for her and their relationship and wouldn’t be returning to Leeds.
Belle advised Tom that it would be better if they wrapped up their business right away since she couldn’t understand why Tom would remain after seeing his response to the Gemma news.
Tom seemed devastated, but are things really done?
Or will Belle show him mercy?
