In EastEnders, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was left in disarray after her pregnant 12-year-old daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) made the decision to leave school in order to support her family amid the crisis of skyrocketing living expenses.
Following the news of her pregnancy, Lily had been struggling with bullying at school, but things only became worse when other kids learned about Stacey’s Secret Cams website.
Stacey went to selling images of herself online in order to get some additional money since she was struggling to put food on the table due to the high cost of living.
Stacey’s photos were circulated around the school after Lily agreed to put her face on camera for an additional £100, making Lily feel embarrassed.
Nevertheless, Stacey had said she would cancel the account. Stacey had to explain that she couldn’t erase anything until the end of the month when her purchasers’ memberships expired when Lily learned that a bunch of boys in her class had joined together to pay for a subscription.
Lily, who was tired of being teased and worried about how they would survive without Stacey’s Secret Cams money, made the decision to leave school permanently and enter the workforce.
Lily resisted Stacey’s efforts to convince her that no one would hire a pregnant 12-year-old, and Stacey became concerned.
She eventually revealed Lily’s intentions to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) before confessing that there was a method for her to keep being paid.
Stacey got an offer from a customer to do secret live broadcasts just for him, so she could still remove her account and keep the money.
Stacey argued that she would rather lie than have Lily waste her life, even if Eve and Jean weren’t persuaded that telling Lily the truth about where the money was coming from would be a good idea.
Stacey, will you accept the offer?
