Brooke Vincent, a former Coronation Street actress, discloses a new position

Following in the footsteps of her fellow serial actress Gemma Atkinson, former Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has secured a new position.

For the duration of Gemma’s maternity leave, Brooke will host on Hits Radio in Gemma’s place.

The actress, who previously co-hosted specials on the radio station and portrayed Sophie Webster on the enduring ITV soap opera, will take over Gemma’s daily evening programme from 4 to 7 p.m. starting on June 5.

In a statement, Brooke expressed her excitement to be keeping Gemma’s seat warm for her while she is gone.

Ellie Leach, who is leaving Coronation Street, offers a moving tribute to her co-star.

I recently took some time off to be a mother, so I understand how she’s feeling, and I reassured Gemma that her show is in good hands.

Mexx and Monroe are Brooke’s two children from her relationship with football player Kean Bryan.

“Filling in is both exciting and intimidating, but I love the Hits Radio family and can’t wait to be on air, live from Manchester, chatting with Mike and all the listeners every day,” she said.

For the evening programme, she will serve as a presenter with Mike Toolan.

This summer, Gemma will give birth to a new kid with Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Gorka Marquez. Mia was the couple’s first child in 2019.

Paul Gerrard, Director of Hits Radio Content, said, “We’re thrilled that Brooke will take over from Gemma starting next month, and we know she’ll do a fantastic job.

She’s going to be just as open, truthful, and genuine with our audience as Gemma is, and we’re certain she’ll keep Mike in line just as well!

We’re excited to welcome yet more Hits Radio listener shortly and wish Gemma and Gorka the best of luck with baby number two as well.

Before transitioning to her nightly position, Gemma began anchoring the morning programme on Hits Radio.

Although Brooke visited the Coronation Street set again earlier this year, she has steadfastly refused to return to the serial opera anytime soon.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m., ITV1 and ITVX both broadcast Coronation Street.
