Following in the footsteps of her fellow serial actress Gemma Atkinson, former Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has secured a new position.
For the duration of Gemma’s maternity leave, Brooke will host on Hits Radio in Gemma’s place.
The actress, who previously co-hosted specials on the radio station and portrayed Sophie Webster on the enduring ITV soap opera, will take over Gemma’s daily evening programme from 4 to 7 p.m. starting on June 5.
In a statement, Brooke expressed her excitement to be keeping Gemma’s seat warm for her while she is gone.

Ellie Leach, who is leaving Coronation Street, offers a moving tribute to her co-star.
I recently took some time off to be a mother, so I understand how she’s feeling, and I reassured Gemma that her show is in good hands.
Mexx and Monroe are Brooke’s two children from her relationship with football player Kean Bryan.
“Filling in is both exciting and intimidating, but I love the Hits Radio family and can’t wait to be on air, live from Manchester, chatting with Mike and all the listeners every day,” she said.
For the evening programme, she will serve as a presenter with Mike Toolan.
