Next week, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) makes the decision to grab the moment and try out love in Emmerdale by confessing her feelings for Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
As viewers are aware, the beautician has long harboured affections for his ex-husband Paddy but has resisted from acting on them since he is aware that he is not in the proper frame of mind to be considering a relationship.
Mandy doesn’t realise that Paddy feels the same way about her since he hasn’t informed cheater Chas (Lucy Pargeter) that he wants to get back together with her because he knows Mandy is the one he’s meant to be with.
Mandy has demonstrated this by prioritising his feelings over her own, but the truth will eventually come out next week when tensions are at their highest.
As fans are aware, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) has fallen for Mandy. In forthcoming scenes, he will be seen shaving his beard, much to the delight of Paddy, who is getting ready to go fishing.
However, Bear misunderstands a chat between the father and son pair and decides that he has permission from Paddy to pursue a relationship with Mandy, not realising that his son is still madly in love with her.
After getting a treatment at the spa, Bear asks Mandy out for lunch and makes a play on her by leaning in for a kiss. However, Mandy is completely taken aback, and Bear is appalled that he misunderstood the signs.
xDespite the discomfort, a meaningful chat follows in which Mandy tells Bear that she still has love for Paddy and that she should tell him about those thoughts. The former wrestler encourages her to not keep her sentiments to herself and to tell Paddy how she feels.
Mandy arrives at Tenant’s and works up the nerve to tell Paddy how she truly feels, following Bear’s suggestion. What sort of response can we expect from Paddy?
That will have to be examined, but the vet is shocked to hear that Bear approached her! Will this ruin his chances of falling in love with Mandy?
