Joe’s sister Shana Swash, a former EastEnders actor, has revealed that she is expecting a child.
The actress, who portrayed Demi Miller in the BBC serial opera, has been engaged to Nick Jones since 2021 and revealed their impending pregnancy on Instagram.
The snapshot showed the couple holding ultrasound images together, and the message read: “PENDING…. BABY JONES 5TH DECEMBER 2023.”

Before leaving the show in 2006, Shana featured for two years. Demi’s storylines included her delivering birth at the age of thirteen. Since leaving the serial opera, Shana has starred in indie films and launched a new venture as a coffee shop proprietor.
Recent events in the soap opera saw Danielle Harold leave the show as Lola Pearce-Brown, who tragically died after a fight with a brain cancer.
The actress, who worked on the serial opera for eight years during two stints, recently discussed her character’s climactic sequences and thanked executive producer Chris Clenshaw for his contribution to the plot.
“I am very grateful to Chris. I can’t thank him enough for the way it was handled; it’s been the perfect departure,” she remarked. “Chris really did let me play out all of Lola’s life as well, in a very short period of time. It wasn’t just the leaving.
Shiv Jalota, an actor on EastEnders, promises a “unreal” Panesar family narrative.
“Obviously, I’ve been on the show for a long time, but throughout the years, we’ve never really delved into Lola. It has been very remarkable to learn about her entire life in the course of this plot.
“There have been just so many different things about Lola that I’ve always wondered about as well, so to find it all out and work out all the answers, it’s just been such a lovely journey,” she continued.
