After learning that her father had an incurable disease, Coronation Street star Kym Marsh offers a lovely tattoo tribute.

Following the discovery of her ‘amazing’ father with incurable prostate cancer, former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh released a picture of a stunning new tattoo in his honour.

The actress and presenter shared her dad’s endearing response to her new tattoo on Instagram and shared a photo of the tattoo itself.

The Michelle Connor actress chose to have an ice cream cone painted on her forearm and explains in the video’s description why it is so meaningful.

I recently got a fresh tattoo for my dad! He has become ice cream-obsessed since being told he had an incurable disease! He consumes one every day, in fact! So I put an ice cream on the inside of my forearm to serve as a constant reminder of my beloved father. The best ever, he is! Dad, I love you,” she wrote.

Dad Dave laughs as she reads the touching dedication, hugs his daughter, and remarks that his ice creams “aren’t as good as them.”

In an episode of BBC’s Morning Live, Kym revealed that Dave had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in 2021 with the intention of inspiring others to get examined.

Ryan Thomas, Kym’s Corrie co-star, left three red love hearts in the comments section along with other members of Kym’s social media following.

Suzanne Shaw, a former member of the band Hear’Say and current Emmerdale cast member, also left a comment, stating, “That’s so lovely,” and Corrie cast member Hayley Tamaddon said, “Love this.” I’d like to send him a hug from here.

Also eager to express their adoration, fans said things like, “Oh this is everything.”

Another said, “Love this.”
