Vinny Ashdale (Bradley Johnson), a widower, may have a romantic future in Emmerdale as he gets to know Naomi Anderson, but any intimacy will only last so long.
Karene Peter would be departing Emmerdale and her Naomi Walters role, it was reported in April. Karene, who debuted on the programme in July 2022, will depart the Dales this summer in order to work on other acting roles, but the door will remain open for her to return.
When Naomi first joined Emmerdale last year, she was a disturbed and troublesome soul. Her relationship with her father Charles (Kevin Mathurin) was strained, and it soon came to light that she was a member of the girl group that attacked Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).
After appearing in court and being declared innocent, Naomi moved into the community and began working at the Woolpack with Marlon (Mark Charnock).
Her choice of guys is one thing that has gotten her into difficulty in the past. She developed a connection with Dawn’s ex-boyfriend, Alex (Liam Boyle), without recognising that he was using her to access the medications kept at the doctor’s office.
Since Naomi is obstinate and strong-willed, she originally disregarded the advice of everyone who had cautioned her not to trust Alex.
As a tight connection between her and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is expected to develop, it’s possible that for her last few weeks in the hamlet, she’s heading into much calmer relationship seas.
Vinny hasn’t expressed any desire in dating anyone since his wife Liv (Isobel Steele) passed away unexpectedly following a terrible storm last autumn. As he battled his sadness, it took him a long time to simply be able to function on a daily basis.
It may seem at first that Vinny and Naomi have little in common because the mild-mannered Vinny has exactly the kind of ‘boring’ and ‘dull’ attitude that Naomi accused her ex-boyfriend Nate (Jurell Carter) of having.
However, Naomi has recently had to deal with the introduction of her grandfather Victor (Eddie Osei) and learning about his troubled background. She has nevertheless desired to get to know Victor.
Vinny is probably going to be a sympathetic ear and someone who can listen to her complex sentiments about her family without passing judgement because he also had a difficult time dealing with his violent father Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale).
Vinny and Naomi might fall in love as their friendship deepens. The fact that Victor is a cunning and evil man raises the possibility of trouble. As she starts to put her faith in him, could Naomi be opening the door to danger?
