As her hidden daughter Cassie (Claire Sweeney) arrives, Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) of Coronation Street is about to regret a choice she took years before.
Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) biological mother is Cassie. Ty believed Jackie Dobbs was his mother for the majority of his life, but it wasn’t until he met Evelyn that she revealed the truth. She didn’t let him know that Cassie was still alive, though, and left him at the station because she didn’t think her drug-addicted daughter was ready to be a mother.
Evelyn chooses to welcome Roy (David Neilson) and Yasmeen (Shelley King) to the bistro in forthcoming episodes after speaking with Ty, believing that by doing so, she will be open and honest about her emotions of jealously towards their friendship.
Evelyn is unaware that Cassie has been keeping an eye on her all day.
While Roy and Yasmeen wait for Evelyn at the restaurant as night falls, it is revealed that Evelyn is at A&E looking for information on a Cassandra Plummer who has been hospitalised as an emergency. Evelyn receives a call on her way to the restaurant.
Evelyn returns a call from the hospital after initially ignoring it and learns that Cassie has released herself.
Ty welcomes Evelyn back to her house and tells her that a visitor named Cath has come to see her.
As Evelyn enters the living room, she is terrified to see Cassie smiling from the couch!
What would Evelyn reply when Tyrone asks how they met? Evelyn is flustered and unsure of what to say.
Will Ty finally learn the truth at this point?
What potential trouble is Cassie going to cause?
