Residents of Walford were devastated by Lola Pearce’s premature death, but her close friends will make sure she is never forgotten by paying a heartfelt homage in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
Lola had a strong friendship with Kim and Denise Fox (Tameka Empson and Diane Parish) while working at the salon, and they both remained Lola’s biggest supporters until the very end.
Now, as her 27th birthday approaches, the sisters present the hairdresser with a kind gesture.
On this momentous day, Lola’s loved ones congregate in the salon, where an emotional Denise dedicates a plaque to her by placing it on Lola’s chair.
The words “Lola Pearce-Brown woz ‘ere” are carved on a gold plaque that is encircled by a frame of purple glitter.
The kind act has impacted Lola’s family, who have warm memories of her.
Viewers will be aware that Lola endured months of treatment to extend her life while battling a brain tumour before she passed away.
Lola’s tumour eventually spread when the chemotherapy she had been receiving ceased working.

Lola passed away in heartbreaking scenes with daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) sound sleeping at her side and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) absent from the room.
Lexi, Jay, and Billy recently delivered moving eulogies as Lola was laid to rest.
Just as Lola had requested, there was a “Lola-fest”-style celebration in the Square after the wedding.
Even though Lola is no longer with us, it is certain that Albert Square residents and spectators will continue to think fondly of her.
