After learning that her daughter Hattie will be playing her in Waterloo Road, Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor couldn’t contain her happiness.
The 19-year-old is the sister of Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne in the popular Netflix series Bridgerton, and the daughter of the soap actor who portrays Sally Metcalfe in the ITV soap.
Sally wrote on Instagram while posting a photo of her daughter dressed as Libby Guthrie, “So proud of you @hattiedynevorr joining @waterlooroad as Libby Guthrie. What an amazing cast and crew.
Co-stars from the television show Corrie hurried to congratulate Hattie, and actress Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) responded, “Beautiful lady- just like her Mum x.”
Matt Evers, Sally’s former partner on Dancing on Ice, also expressed affection with a string of heart emojis.
An insider recently informed The Sun that “Hattie bagging a part on Waterloo Road sees the Dynevors become a real acting dynasty.”

“Few aspiring stars would land a part on such a big drama so early in their careers,” said the author.
However, they are sure that she is qualified for the position; after all, talent runs in the family.
Zak Sutcliffe as Schumacher Weever, Maisey Robinson as Portia Weever, Tillie Armartey as Stacey “Stace” Neville, and Aabay Ali as Mollie “Mog” Richardson all appear in series 13 of the BBC school drama alongside Hattie.

Since the 1980s, Hattie’s mother Sally has played Coronation Street’s beloved Sally Metcalfe.
The Cobbles Icon received an MBE last year for her years on the ITV soap opera’s drama team.
When Sally was mentioned in the New Year’s Honours list last year, she said of her nomination: “I am humbled, grateful, and very proud to have received this honour.” I’m still in disbelief.
When I originally learned that I would be receiving an MBE earlier this month, I didn’t think it was true. How challenging it has been to keep it a secret.
