Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), a poor character on EastEnders, has recently experienced significant mental health issues. Kim has endured panic attacks and PTSD ever since she was released from prison following a vehicle accident that left Denzel (Jaden Ladega) wounded.
When she tells Patrick (Rudolph Walker) and Howie (Delroy Atkinson) that she is a broken woman and is no longer the Kimfluencer since she can’t stand filming her internet videos, they are devastated in upcoming episodes. Howie makes an effort to cheer her up by telling her that she is being strong and that she will get through these trying times with the aid of the organised therapy.
Additionally, he nudges her to log back on. Howie worries that she postponed her first therapy appointment as she gets back into the Kimfluencer swing of things despite her extreme reluctance as she does so.
He questions whether she’s attempting to hide how depressed she really is by using her online hobbies as a mask, and he convinces her to stop what she’s doing so she can visit the therapist.
She first tries to hide her true emotions when she first meets Dr. Anwar Kim by putting on an act of being fine, but it doesn’t take long for her to start opening up and openly discussing how she’s been feeling with the doctor.
Kim is happy that she made the challenging decision to attend to the appointment, and Dr. Anwar gives her some tools to help her manage her anxiety and PTSD.
She then takes a choice in response to this. She will speak on the Kimfluencer channel about mental wellness.
Howie warns her to exercise caution because he is aware of the possibility of internet bullying and is concerned for Kim’s mental health at a time when she has begun to make progress.
But it takes a lot to dissuade Kim once she becomes enthusiastic about an idea. Is Howie justified in being worried? Or maybe she needs to share her struggles with mental health with her fans.
