On EastEnders, Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) is set to wed Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), but could their nuptials be in jeopardy now that he has made the public aware of her massive betrayal?
Despite his best efforts to keep his daughter Peggy in the nation, Keanu was completely heartbroken when Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) departed Albert Square with her in order to take her back to Portugal.
He became even more frantic after Lisa stopped returning his calls, and when the lawyer she had placed him in touch with stopped returning calls as well, he went to Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) for assistance.
Even though Keanu had previously begun the process of obtaining a banned step order, Eve noted that this was no longer useful because Lisa had already departed the country.
She stated that the only way for Keanu to obtain custody of Peggy was through the Portuguese courts, which would be expensive, time-consuming, and probably not in his advantage given that he was an absent father for Peggy’s first three years of existence.
She suggested he speak with Lisa directly instead.
Lisa suggested to Keanu that he seek assistance from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) after he pointed out that she was entirely ignoring him.
Keanu decided that everything was worth a shot despite their turbulent past and went to Boxing Den to speak with him.
Phil completely dismissed the idea, agreeing to keep Peggy with Louise and to never bring up the broken-hearted Keanu again.
Devastated, Keanu confided in his mother Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), who said that Lisa must have been helped to leave the house because there was no way she could have discovered her secret passports on her own.
Keanu was certain that Sharon was innocent, so he switched his attention to Martin Fowler (James Bye), who confessed when Keanu accused him.
Although Martin wasn’t the only person who contributed to Lisa’s departure, he accepted full responsibility in order to preserve Sharon’s friendship with Keanu.
After shooing him out of the house in a fit of wrath, Keanu returned home and started destroying stuff.
Then, Keanu discovered a voicemail on Sharon’s phone, which set him ablaze.
Before playing the message aloud, he stormed over to the Queen Vic and challenged her about her role in Lisa’s departure.
To Keanu’s dismay, Lisa’s voice rang over the bar and it was revealed that Sharon had indeed assisted Lisa in fleeing.
Will marriage still be possible now that Sharon has committed the ultimate betrayal, or is this one obstacle that Keanu won’t be able to overcome?
