Following the revelation that her character Karen Taylor would no longer be appearing in the BBC soap opera, EastEnders actress Lorraine Stanley expressed her regret.
On Instagram, she shared a clip from the Australian comedy Summer Heights High, in which drama teacher Mr. G is compared to her on his last day of work.
She sent love to her on-screen family and thanked the EastEnders crew for the chance as well as the fans for their best wishes in the caption.
Hello, everybody! I really appreciate all of your sweet words over the past week, she wrote.
“I’ll be sad to be saying goodbye to Karen Taylor and will miss all the cast and crew at EastEnders,” said Karen Taylor. “Thank you to Daran Little for creating the Taylors and to the BBC for allowing me to play such a fabulous character.”However, I’m eager to begin my next chapter and am looking forward to working as a jobbing actor once more.
“Once more, thank you for your nice words and incredible support!! I’ll miss my Taylor and Baker famalam. Roger Griffiths, Matthew Morrison, Danny Walters, and Clair Norris. Lots of love.
Her co-stars flocked to the comments section to offer their condolences, with Heather Peace, who plays Eve Unwin, writing: “We will miss you very much.” Let’s embark on new adventures, my darling.
Denzel Danes’ on-screen son, Jaden Ladega, commented, “We will miss you very much.”

A handful of fans questioned why the character was eliminated from the programme while others were eager to express their affection.
Karen is such a big character, and you do a great job portraying her. Good luck on your upcoming adventure, one person said.
I’m going to miss Karen. Another person commented, “Such a delightful character always made me chuckle. We’ll miss you Lorraine. Over the years, you and Karen have been so much fun for me. Throughout Chantelle’s storyline, you were outstanding. Lots of love.
In 2017, Lorraine assumed the role of matriarch Karen. Since then, she has been at the focus of several heartbreaking storylines, including one in which she was left reeling from Chantelle’s death at the hands of her violent husband Grey Atkins.
There are several speculations floating around about how Karen will leave the Square, albeit it is still unclear.
While some think she would die, others worry if she might leave the Square heartbroken. After all, many fans have Keanu (Danny Walters) on their list of potential Christmas murder suspects.
No matter how she departs, we will undoubtedly miss her.
