In Coronation Street, there is never a boring moment in the Platt household. The individuals can be seen dealing with everything from a collapsed sinkhole in the yard to Gail (Helen Worth) realising she had a distant aunt named Fanny.
Please do not inquire.
Recently, David (Jack P Shepherd) and Shona (Julia Goulding) have been dealing with Max (Paddy Bever), who has recently returned to the cobbles following time in an STC.
Max was transferred to the facility after being involved with Griff’s (Michael Condron) extremist group. Max was part in the events that saw a bomb set in the Speed Daal van and Alya (Sair Khan) being taken to the hospital after a stabbing after being groomed and misled by other members of the gang.
Max pledged a few days before his release from the STC that he would entirely change his ways and learn from everything that had happened to him. Max has accomplished this, but it has not been easy.
He almost was jailed again after violating the terms of his licence, and he confronted Gav’s (Noah Olaoye) wrath when he revealed that he had begun a relationship with Gav’s lover, Bec.
After a difficult few months, the Platt family is offered some light respite when Lily’s (Brooke Malonie) birthday arrives.
While she is opening her gifts, David and Shona congratulate Max on passing his GCSEs!
With the Platts’ lives improving, how long will it be until trouble strikes again?
And will it happen before or after the return of Bethany (Lucy Fallon)?
