Consider us completely shocked when EastEnders, the BBC One soap, unveils a preview for what’s to come next week, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better.
While the Cindy Beale plotline is keeping us all hooked to the television this week, the stalker plot will reach a dramatic high point the following week when evil Theo Hawthorne imprisons Stacey Slater at Number 31.
As viewers are aware, Theo tricked his way into Stacey’s house by posing as a tutor for pregnant 12-year-old Lily (Lillia Turner), who is having trouble with her academics.
Stacey, who is being pursued by a Secret Cam subscriber, has been moved by the teacher’s actions and is appreciative of the support at this difficult time.
She is unaware that her stalker is hiding in plain sight. Theo here!
Theo will return to the house in following scenes after creating a replica of the key, much to the distress of Stacey, who is confined to the kitchen.
In the brief teaser clip, which you can watch above, the evil stalker cries out, “I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to you!” This reveals that the truth is exposed, with Stacey realising who Theo is.
After learning that Stacey is in grave danger because Theo has grown fixated on her, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) race against time to save their beloved Stacey.
Will Stacey be able to escape this tight scenario unscathed?
Will Theo now receive his just desserts, too? Or is he a lock to be the Christmas victim—no pun intended?
On Monday, August 28 at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, EastEnders will resume.
