As Ricky (Frankie Day) and Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) adjust to becoming parents in EastEnders, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) gets a preview of what the next months will be like.
Now that Charli is a baby, Lily and Ricky are her parents. To put it mildly, these two had a difficult pregnant journey. Due to their youth, Lily and Ricky had to repeatedly meet with representatives from social services to demonstrate their readiness to care for a child with the support of their families.
After Charli caused her to have a restless night, Lily wakes up and persuades Stacey and Eve (Heather Peace) to go for work so she may take care of her infant daughter.
Stacey agrees reluctantly, but when Lily and Ricky go out and Jack witnesses them playing with the little child, tragedy occurs.
Jack approaches Stacey and accuses her, making her drag Lily home in shame.
Stacey Turner was quoted as saying, “I believe Stacey was always going to be hands on with Lily and the baby, but she’s even more overprotective than she would have been because she’s putting all of those fears about Theo under wraps.”
Stacey simply wants to ensure that Lily is receiving help since she recognizes how overwhelming it must all be. Since Lily is still her infant, she wants to do anything she can to prevent Lily from becoming overburdened.
