In EastEnders, Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) mother Emma (Patsy Kensit) will soon return to Walford, and it appears that she will cause problems for Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).
After abandoning Lola when she was just three years old, Emma returned to her life this year. She left the scene just before Lola passed away, but not before covertly giving Lexi (Isabella Brown) her phone number.
After a brief comeback for Lola’s funeral, Emma returns once again the following week after Jay discovers Lexi has been messaging her.
Emma tells Jay that Lexi has been contacting her for weeks and that she is really concerned about her throughout their conversation.
Emma is dismissed by Jay, but Callum (Tony Clay) advises that it could be a good idea to pay attention to Emma in case Lexi is indeed having trouble.
Kat and Phil are at odds as this is going on because Kat discovers that Alfie (Shane Richie) and Phil have been attempting to help Tommy (Sonny Kendall) with his rage issues in secret.
She will also have to deal with the fact that Phil failed to inform her of Alfie’s cancer scare.

Phil makes an effort to repair his relationship with Kat this week after she cut him off.
Phil shows up at the taxi agency with chocolates for Kat after getting some motivation from Sharon (Letitia Dean), but his efforts to make up fail.
In a rage, Phil rushes to Peggy’s house to be alone himself, but Emma interrupts and demands a G&T.
The next day, Phil shyly makes his way home after being out all night, suggesting that something seems to have happened between the two characters.
He also makes a commitment to be honest with Kat going forward at lunch, but he leaves as soon as a coy Emma passes.
What then has happened?
And how will this affect the bond between Phil and Kat?
