Michelle Keegan may not have graced Weatherfield’s cobblestones in a while, but since then, the former Coronation Street star has almost ever been out of the spotlight.
With parts like Georgie Lane in the BBC drama Our Girl, Tina Moore, Bobby Moore’s wife, in the TV miniseries Tina and Bobby, and more recently, the hits Brassic and Ten Pound Poms, Michelle has enjoyed a tremendously successful post-Corrie career.
The actress frequently makes news due to her marriage to Towie veteran Mark Wright; most recently, the couple was photographed having a good time at DJ Jermaine Paul’s (also known as Jermaine J Funk) wedding, when Mark served as a groomsman.
The couple recently had even more cause to rejoice as work on their gorgeous £3.5 million property in Essex—which they’ve long been documenting on social media—finally came to an end.
The newest Harlan Coben adaption on Netflix, Fool Me Once, will have Michelle as the character.
And who exactly did she portray on Coronation Street? Also, when did she leave?
In Coronation Street, Michelle Keegan portrayed whom?
From 2008 until 2014, Michelle Keegan portrayed the part of Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street.
Tina, a bartender at the Rovers Return, was David Platt’s (Jack P. Shepherd) first love, but they broke up when he urged her to lie under oath to get Gary Windass (Mikey North) hurt during an ongoing dispute.

She took part in several other significant plotlines, including the termination of David’s pregnancy, her battle with depression following the drowning of her father Joe (Reece Dinsdale), and carrying Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong’s (Cherylee Houston) surrogate child.
Later, she had an on-and-off relationship with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), who kept pledging to dump Carla Connor (Alison King) for her.
But when she found out Carla was expecting, their relationship came to an abrupt end.
Michelle Keegan quit Coronation Street when?
After Tina’s death, Michelle departed Coronation Street in 2014.
After breaking up with Peter, Tina argued with Carla’s brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), threatening to expose Carla about his shady business operations at Underworld.
She was pushed during the altercation and fell to the ground from the Builders Yard balcony, but Rob attacked her with a metal pipe when he saw she had survived the fall and threatened to report him to the police.
After being taken to the hospital urgently, Tina underwent surgery to treat her wounds but ultimately passed away from a heart attack.
After she died, a series of things happened that resulted in Peter Barlow being wrongfully convicted of her murder. Rob eventually admitted to killing her.
Michelle acknowledged earlier this year that she was taking a risk by resigning from the position.
Before the premiere of Ten Pound Poms, she said to the Radio Times, “I remember coming to grips with the notion of not acting again when I chose to quit Corrie.”
Since hardly many individuals can say they have worked in the same field for six and a half years, I used to tell myself, “If I don’t get a job after this, at least I’ve had a decent run.”
Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ITV, Coronation Street will resume.
