Recent EastEnders scenes have demonstrated that we were correct when we predicted that Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) would have Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) wrapped around her tiny finger from the time they returned to Albert Square.
Cindy looked to Ian for comfort after being abruptly reintroduced into the lives of daughters Anna and Gina Knight (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry).
He reassured her that they will soon see Cindy’s genuine concern for them and desire to reconnect with her, but Cindy was of the opinion that she would first need to establish her viability to them.
Cindy made the decision that she wanted something even greater to please George and Elaine (Colin Salmon and Harriet Thorpe), who were in charge of the Queen Vic, and to demonstrate that she was establishing roots in Walford.
She proposed they open their own bar or eatery, and Ian was compelled to pledge he would find a way to make it happen.
Informing son Peter (Thomas Law) that they wouldn’t be in this situation if Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) hadn’t sold his restaurant, Ian immediately put on his businessman hat and started looking for companies he could rehabilitate.
Peter was quick to point out that although he was doing a great job of working to reunite Cindy with her family, he had neglected to focus on mending fences with his own family.
In an effort to forge connections, Ian went to the café with Peter’s support.
Kathy quickly forgave Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) despite his refusal to accept responsibility for his actions.
Ian’s decision to atone was what motivated his perhaps regrettable next risky action.
Ian felt it was time to network after spotting Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), a local business mogul and all-around disagreeable person, while seated in the café.
Ian introduced himself as a fellow businessman and said he wanted to invite him and his wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) over for a business lunch since he was looking to grow his empire.
Is Ian putting himself in danger by getting close to Nish, or will things turn out well for him?
